MEMORY GLASS TO ATTEND
FUNERAL INDUSTRY CONVENTION IN NEW ORLEANS
September 30, 2010, Santa Barbara, CA — Memory Glass®, a cremation memorial company, announces today that it will bring its affordable hand-blown glass products to New Orleans from October 10-13, 2010 for the National Funeral Directors Association’s (NFDA) International Convention & Expo. Memory Glass® aims to provide consumers nationwide with limited household budgets the opportunity to uniquely memorialize their loves ones.
With the loss of a loved one, many consumers are shocked to discover how the costs for caskets, burials, cemetery plots, grave stones, etc can add up. Consumers are finding that cost-cutting options, such as cremation and alternative memorialization methods, allow them to memorialize their loved ones with a less dramatic impact on their bank accounts.
“We get calls every day from people with little to no funeral budget,” states Nick Savage, Memory Glass Owner & Lead Artist. “We’ve had a great response from customers who felt they didn’t have choices when they first contacted us due to limited finances. When it comes to the decision of what to do with someone’s ashes, our products are one of the more cost-conscious options available.” Memory Glass® offers four customizable products ranging from $150-$500.
A Memory Glass® is a unique solid glass keepsake that eternally preserves cremated remains, soil from a burial site or sand, which are suspended within the glass. Each piece is hand-blown using high-quality crystal glass and colored glass from a selection of 16 shades. An extremely small amount of cremated remains, soil or sand is required, giving families the opportunity to create multiple Memory Glasses®. When used with cremated remains, the family can still bury or scatter the remainder of the ashes.
Memory Glass® will connect with funeral homes and crematoriums from around the country at the NFDA Expo to expand their reach to consumers seeking affordable memorialization options. NFDA is the world’s leading funeral service association and informs, educates and advocates to help members enhance the quality of service they provide to families. www.nfda.org
